Hidden gems in black and white

In photography, the hidden gems are sometimes the images you do not see until you press the shutter. We see things in colour. And today’s digital cameras and smartphones capture images in colour by default. This is probably the reason why it is often difficult to see beyond this kaleidoscope of colours and discover an image reduced to its very basic form, which is the result of the interplay of light and shadow on a subject.
